We are thrilled to announce that BIX has secured a spot among the top 10 startups in our category in the esteemed 100 Open Startups Ranking for the second consecutive year! Out of over 5,000 startups participating, BIX has distinguished itself as a leader in open innovation, further solidifying our position in the market.
The announcement was made on October 17th during a prestigious gala event at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, celebrating the most innovative startups and corporations for the 2024 cycle (July 2023 to June 2024). This year, 100 Open Startups recognized 100 outstanding startups and 100 corporations for their remarkable contributions to the open innovation ecosystem. BIX was proudly represented by Eduardo Eberhardt, Chief Revenue Officer, and Mardo David, Head of the Brazil Commercial Team, who accepted the award on our behalf.
According to the 100 Open Startups platform, this year saw a remarkable doubling in the hiring of startups by corporations compared to 2023. The total volume of open innovation contracts surged from R$ 6.4 billion to R$ 10.8 billion, marking a significant 69% growth, with 62,216 partnerships recorded. The platform has identified over 39,000 open startups, with 5,077 having validated contracts—about 20% more than the previous year, which saw 4,177 validated contracts. Notably, the categories that attracted the most investment included Artificial Intelligence, IndTechs, and LogTechs, reflecting the increasing demand for innovative solutions.
